The Movidos Dança Residency is a space for creative immersion, training, and artistic exchange focused on the practice and deepening of dance techniques. With two editions already completed, in 2023 and 2024, the project has established itself as a powerful platform for encounters between artists, communities, and territories, promoting the diversity of bodies, languages, and narratives.

The first edition (2023) was structured in three distinct modules: Breaking, with dancer and educator Michael Skimo; Video Dance Creation, led by visual artist and director André Rosa; and Waacking, with dancer and choreographer Ariadna Medeiros. As a culmination, participants came together to create a collective video dance, directed by André Rosa, with choreographic organization built collaboratively by Ariadna Medeiros and Michael Skimo—a powerful result of the intersection between different languages and experiences.

In 2024, the residency focused on deepening the Waacking technique, again with Ariadna Medeiros, who shared her bodily and artistic research based on the expressiveness and power of the feminine as a creative force in urban dances. The proposal strengthened the view of dance as a tool for empowerment and identity expression.

Registration for both editions was conducted online and was open to all audiences, prioritizing access for people interested in experiencing training processes in the languages of urban dance, regardless of their technical level. The residency continues as an invitation to investigate the body in motion, in dialogue with art, territory, and collectivity.
